Idaho's Hot Springs
This is another first for me. Sure, I have indulged in the pleasures of a hot tub, in fact, I joke about living submerged in one permanently. A natural hot tub is a novelty. What a wondrous phenomenon.
Wishing to be prepared, I researched the etiquette of hot springs usage. To say the dos and don'ts are confusing is an understatement. Clothing optional? Yes, but no. Mind the time you sit and soak. Go ahead and relax.Be social. Respect reticence.
Hmmm... I opt to reveal just the bits of me I cannot conceal within my swimsuit. Alas a full body swimsuit seems overkill. Modesty for me. I remembered to remove my jewellery, so I did feel a tad naked. The rings are usually on my fingers at all times, but, hey, who wants tarnish?
I did wonder about the people disguised beneath copious layers of make-up and fake eye lashes. Were they not worried about melting? Some of the tattoos I notice must have stories.
Ah, the hot water is sublime. Any and all aches, pains and tension dissolved without a fight. Time seemed to stand still, become inconsequential. That magic hot spring had me and it knew it.
Normally, I'm a chatterbox. Sorry, Lyn's a Witchy Woman Author Icon. I really did try to follow our conversation, but it required too much focus. I probably muttered in monosyllabic grunts. Thank goodness breathing is unconcerned with my complete and total meltdown. My reflexes and synapses were lulled beyond relaxation. This must be bliss. I do not give a damn about possible wrinkling. Could I just stay here?
