Our First Kiss
In what manner may I kiss you
Girl in camelia colored skirt
Ruffles around your ankles
Pearls around your neck

Shall I wait for daybreak
And make our kiss
The first of many
Touching your lips soft

What would the moment
Mean to you girl of
Gentle movements with
Longing in your eyes

Wasn't there an eternity
In our dance when
Our eyes overflowed
With the happiest of tears

You said the end of the dance
Would always be a place
Our hearts would marry
Your hand taking mine

How sweetly you said, "Hello,"
How tender that first kiss
Blessed sun casting radiant
Rays on our forever more
