A blog devoted just to my scriptwriting. That’s all I’m going to blogging about here. |
Nine is Better Than None It has been just over a week since I worked on my DeathBringers scriptwriting project, and I had some catching up to do with it. It’s not the way it sounds. I’m not starting over again on it, but I did have to reading of past scenes to catch up with the scenes that I was writing, especially the first four scenes. I was halfway through Act Two of Part Two of the Movie Introduction Scene Outline when I stopped working on it just over a week ago to write my WDC Short Story for this month. I was hoping I would get at least to the halfway point of the Part Two Scene Outline, but I didn’t quite make it. I still have three more scene paragraphs to write. Why is the halfway point of Part Two so important to me? It’s because I still have seventy-five numeric scenes to write before I finish writing this Scene Outline. That doesn’t include the six probable Establishing Shots that accompany these three Acts. What does that mean for this television anthology series? I have been blogging all along that this Movie Introduction is a connection to a novel I have been planning to write the the October Prep Challenge and the November NaNoWriMo challenge this year. The Movie Introduction isn’t based on the novel. It is the novel but in a script format and vice versa. Both are connected to each other. I have been thinking about that a lot in the last month or two, and I have decided not to pursue the novel part of this connection this year. I may continue it next year, and I may not. I will continue to work on these scripts and the first four episodes like I am doing for my Water Wars scriptwriting project, but it won’t be connected to any novels. Why have I decided to continue with the novel part of this project? It’s because it has taken me longer than I thought it would to write the paragraph Scene Outlines for this novel connection. I wanted to get these Outlines done about a month ago. If I had gotten them done about a month ago, I could continue with the novel this year. I didn’t get them done about a month ago. I don’t know how much longer it will take me to finish writing these Scene Outlines. I’m hoping it will only take me until the end of this month to finish writing them, but the way things have been going with me lately, I can’t count on that happening until it happens, if it does happen. I was going to finish writing these Scene Outlines, and then I was going to Copy and Paste them into the Third Outline for my October Prep Challenge. After I did that, I would start working on my Chapters for this novel. The way things are going right now, I wouldn’t be starting to write these Chapters until November if I’m lucky. It's best if I concentrate on writing this Movie Introduction and the first four Episodes of this anthology television series. After all, I still need to write my Outlines and scripts for the first four episodes and the Bible for this series. I haven’t even started on them yet because of this Movie Introduction and novel connection. |
