I admit
to envying the gift
of no resentment
and

I wish I had the salesmanship -
assisted living
sounds so much softer
yes it does

and I imagine him
in the baby blue coffin dress
to match his glacier eyes

It's like you said
The only child is selfish

and in my case, hungry
for just a little wry
revenge.
