Still No Prompts

I just checked, and there is still no prompt for the WDC Short Story Contest for this month. It doesn’t matter, though. After all, I have been checking for this prompt every two or three hours all day today. There is no prompt for my second contest for this month, either.

I’m not surprised about either one of these prompts. I was hoping they would be coming in today, but I didn’t expect either of them would. Of course, I was hoping that the WDC prompt would come out today, but I wasn’t surprised it didn’t. After all, this month has thirty-one days to it.

These WDC prompts seem to be posted so that there were twenty-eight days left in the month to write them. That’s why it’s usually the second or third day of the month before they are posted, except for February, which has twenty-eight days in that month, three out of four years.

Thinking that way, the WDC prompt for this month should come out within the next twenty-four hours. I hope it comes out overnight tonight or before late afternoon tomorrow. After all, I return to work tomorrow at six PM WDC time. I would like to get it by then so I can start working on it at work.

As for the second contest this month, I still could come out within the next twenty-four hours. If it doesn’t, it may come out within the next few days. This contest has a habit of waiting a week before it comes out. At least it’s a week for me. I’m still not sure about the other contestants.

If it comes out at all. There is still a very good chance that there won’t be a Short Story contest for this month with this contest. After all, there wasn’t one last month, and this contest goes several months without their being a prompt. It’s not monthly like it’s supposed to be.

I can’t comment on it, except for these blog entries. If I do, I will probably be banned from this contest and any other contests this host may host. It has happened before, and it could happen again. I’m kind of surprised it hasn’t happened yet. Then again, maybe it has, and I don’t know it.

The host of this contest knows that another host of similar contests has banned me. This host may not want to do the same thing. I hope I’m wrong about this host and contest. After all, I like writing short stories for them both. They give me a challenge every time they post a new prompt.

What have I been doing besides checking out these prompts all day today? I have continued to work on the setup of the first four episodes for my DeathBringer scriptwriting project. That’s why these blog entries have been in my ‘Only My Scriptwriting’ blogs. It looks like it may also be tomorrow.

Unfortunately, I still have some setting up to do for my DeathBringers scriptwriting project. I have finished writing the synopsis for each of the three main characters for these four episodes, and I have started writing their Act Breakdown, but I haven’t gotten too far with them yet.
