TUYC - Spiritual Washings
This is an interesting question. In my opinion there is a difference between being washed in the blood of Christ and by the water of the word.
The blood of Christ refers to His sacrifice on the Cross for our sins and salvation for those who believe on Him.
Being washed by the water of the word is gaining in the knowledge of the word to help us grow spiritually.
In gardening terms, it is Kind of like being "planted" and then continual watering for growth. Both are necessary for growth and production of fruit. One without the other will cause stunted growth, or maybe even no growth.
If someone disagrees, I'm always here for discussion; I will not argue or belittle someone else's beliefs...that's not productive.
Prayer prompt: Pray for Christians who are being persecuted in Nigeria.
Blog prompt: Let's talk about how we are washed in the blood of Christ and by the water of the word. Is there any difference between the 2?
