Georgia
Such an interesting name for an island, Jekyll's Island, Georgia. I suppose it isn't all peaches, eh? Ooo, I am intrigued by a venue billed as a {tree graveyard/i} . Carcasses of trees? I'm curious enough to check it out although I have noticed a stump or two almost everywhere. Well, my eyes did indeed espy a tree graveyard exposed next to a shoreline. Since the remains were posing I obliged and snapped my fair share of photos. The subjects did not squirm or contort their faces. This stark beach is aptly named Driftwood. The many dead trees looked ready to become fire wood. The skeletal bleach-bone tentacles grasped at the shimmering horizon. To think they once sought the sunshine. The weathered driftwood could have been tortured props for a Shakespearean tragedy, or eerie background for a gothic horror movie. I chose to forgo a tour of the turtle sanctuary in favour of a meander through the Island Museum. I enjoyed the fascinating glimpses into history. You missed your calling Lyn's a Witchy Woman. You should have been a tour guide/expedition planner.
