Hawaii
Hawaii is every bit as breathtaking as its iconic movie scenes, sun, sea and swaying palm trees. Gorgeous!
I'm from snow country, so for at least six months of the year our ground is smothered in white. Volcano lava is most definitely something new. Flowing , smoking lava seems otherworldy. I half expected to view a dinosaur ambling by me.
Kilauea Volcano is awe inspiring. I kept peeking at Lyn's a Witchy Woman Author Icon to see her reaction. Was I the only one staring with my mouth open? Sorry, if I repeatedly muttered, "Did you see this?"
Am I also the only one to wonder if human sacrifices were ever offered to this volcano? Wasn't the heat amazing?
Now, I enjoyed the aromatic tour of Greenwell Coffee Farm. What a heavenly scent and I am once again in agreement with those who claim coffee is vegan. Nectar of the gods. How can caffeine be considered detrimental? I envy this tropical country. Coffee does not grow in Canada.
I sensed we were approaching the Rainbow Falls before we wandered close to stare in wonder. There's no mistaking the distinctive roar and the fine mist in the air. The lush greenery called to me. I will admit to it being a lovely waterfall, but it does not compare to Niagara Falls here at home.
I dove into this once in a lifetime excursion. I signed up for night snorkeling with manta rays. Something, not common for me.
I experienced a prolonged moment of frustration and trepidation forcing my self into a wet suit. The only saving grace is that the effort burned considerable calories. I anticipated the swimming would be physical, but, hey, preparation can be sweat-inducing.
Those giant, gentle giants glided soundlessly by me as if I wasn't intruding upon their territory. Manta rays reminded me of bats.

I could linger here in Hawaii. Does anyone know if it is mandaory to learn the local dances?
