Opening A locked door When Sam Adams retired He moved back to his childhood home in Eagle Point, Oregon in the heart of the Rouge River Valley in Southern Oregon He and his wife Moved into his Uncle’s house Which he had inherited Uncle Joe was an eccentric college professor who claimed to be the last descendant of the horror writer HP Lovecraft And claimed That Lovecrot Was writing the truth In his will He said that they could use The entire house But the locked door Contained a portal To other universes He said “The door should remained Locked and sealed Until the end of time. “There are some things Monsters out there That should remain In the other world. Do not open the door If you do All hell will break loose. HP knew this And now you know too. Do Not Open the Door! You’ve been warned.” Sam and Maria Became obsessed With finding out What had happened To his uncle Who had disappeared Leaving him the house Property And one million dollars In cash They finally broke down And opened the locked door Inside they found A spinning door A portal to another world. With a sign that read “for madmen open Enter at your own peril” Sam and Maria Jumped through the gate And they were never seen again. But the horror on the other end Burst through the gateway Unleashing horror On the Southern Oregon community. The government sealed off the town On national security grounds. And the rumors spread Of portals to other worlds And monsters on the loose. Prompt/Week # 50 A locked door.
