50 STB - Lazy Salt Water Taffy Days - New Jersey

Maid of the Mist Most Macabre drove us down to New Jersey in just a couple of hours on the Party Bus. We were all teasing AmyJo-Zombie hours who slept through Massachusetts.

Morticia Wednesday Megan Rose mentioned that Bon Jovi was from New Jersey so we started singing “Living on a Prayer” and “Wanted Dead or Alive.” My favorite Bon Jovi song was "You Give Love a Bad Name.”



The Party Bus was rocking and rolling singing Bon Jovi when Maid of the Mist Most Macabre stopped by the 7-11 in New York to gas up and fill up her 64 oz Big Gulp. WakeUpAndLive~gummy worms BOO filled up her coffee cup with 7-11 coffee.

We made it to Ocean City, New Jersey and its amazing Boardwalk around noon. Giant Phantom Jelly was hungry and went to the first food place she found – Salt Water Taffy.



They had every flavor you could think of – including buttered popcorn. (I Love Lucy ewww face) Giant Phantom Jelly stocked up on strawberry and root bear taffys.

Spooky Kooky Krista got herself a lemonade and Giant Phantom Jelly , myself, and AmyJo-Zombie hours all bought the Mexican coke.


I wanted to go to Lobster Pot for the Mango Lobster Roll. It was actually pretty tasty. A Warped Witch I Be went to keep me company since she can't eat the bottom feeders.

Reluctant Halloweenist and WakeUpAndLive~gummy worms BOO slowly walked down the boardwalk, people watching. They saw people wearing a bikini and some people wearing a bathrobe and some people dressed as Superheroes to include Superman, Spiderman and Batman. There was even someone dressed as a fake alien.

That fake alien guy must have seen me and Morticia Wednesday Megan Rose Kate Spade purses because he made a beeline right to us and started talking some alien jibberish that sounded like French and pointed at our purses. We told him there was a Kate Spade shop around the corner and made a beeline to the Ring Toss.

Everyone took a moment to ride a ride or play a game. Reluctant Halloweenist played the basketball toss. WakeUpAndLive~gummy worms BOO and Morticia Wednesday Megan Rose played launch the duckies! And A Warped Witch I Be and Maid of the Mist Most Macabre played shoot the watergun at the bullseyes. I rode the scrambler with WakeUpAndLive~gummy worms BOO and AmyJo-Zombie hours . Spooky Kooky Krista and Morticia Wednesday Megan Rose rode the bumper cars.

At the end of the day we went to the ocean, sat down on the sand and put our toes in the water. Instead of smores, we all ate salt water taffy and enjoyed the gentle waves lapping at our feet.
