50 STB - You need A LOT of Energy for Vermont!
We drove up the 91 in Vermont and made a pit stop in Montpelier so the Party Bus could gas up and Maid of the Mist Most Macabre Author IconMail Icon could get her 7-11. Reluctant Halloweenist Author IconMail Icon got one, too. He said he needed it for the mountain biking.

The last time I went Mountain Biking was in 2018 at Boy Scout camp at Camp Emerald Bay on Catalina island. I did it but like Spooky Kooky Krista Author IconMail Icon I was huffing and puffing like a 90 year chain smoker.

We made it to Burke, parked the bus and went to pick up our bikes. For an extra $100.00 we could take E-Mountain Bikes. Well, hell, I wouldn’t have to fake a flat and start sucking in air like a 90 year chain smoker so I shoveled out the money. Maid of the Mist Most Macabre Author IconMail Icon A Warped Witch I Be Author IconMail Icon WakeUpAndLive~gummy worms BOO Author IconMail Icon Spooky Kooky Krista Author IconMail Icon and AmyJo-Zombie hours Author IconMail Icon did too. Reluctant Halloweenist Author IconMail Icon said he didn’t need no stinking e-mountain bike and took out a pedaled powered one. Maid of the Mist Most Macabre Author IconMail Icon Giant Phantom Jelly Author IconMail Icon and Morticia Wednesday Megan Rose Author IconMail Icon said they take the hiking trails.

Off we went!

Man, those E-Mountain bikes haul ass! Me and A Warped Witch I Be Author IconMail Icon raced. Reluctant Halloweenist Author IconMail Icon impressed us with his wheelies. Spooky Kooky Krista Author IconMail Icon put the go-pro on her helmet and filmed her ride to put on her Intagram. AmyJo-Zombie hours Author IconMail Icon put her $50.00 Nalgene bottle on a bungee cord so she wouldn’t lose it.

Let me tell you, Vermont is very Green this time of year. No wonder it’s called the Green Mountain state. It even manages to smell fresher than Maine and New Hampshire.

We met up in the parking lot and Morticia Wednesday Megan Rose Author IconMail Icon held up a bag of banana slugs. They let her pet them. Brave soul. Banana slugs are kinda slimy.

We visited the museum in St. Johnsbury and walked the main street of Montpelier looking for stickers for my Nalgene. Stowe Mercantile had a lot of cozy souvenirs and I was able to find a bunch of stickers for my Nalgene.

We ended the day at Three Penny Taproom. Lots of vegan options for Giant Phantom Jelly Author IconMail Icon. I had the Von Trapp pils.

Did you know? The Von Trapp family relocated to Stowe, Vermont after they left Austria?

When I was younger, we would visit my Aunt who lived in Brattleboro, so I’m more familiar with the southern part of the state. I always wanted to visit Burlington and Lake Champlain. Then there’s Bennington where I think a Revoluntary War battle was fought. I’ve been to Montpelier when my husband and I first got married and even visited the Ben & Jerry Ice Cream place. I also visited the Von Trapp place in Stowe. Vermont is a very low key, rural state. I’d like to spend more time in.

PS – I heard they make great coffee in the state so right before we went to bed, I took WakeUpAndLive~gummy worms BOO Author IconMail Icon to the Vermont Coffee shop on the corner. Now she’s hooked!
