Nazarite
Prompts day 10: Story to feature a haircut.

Joseph, a devout Judean, had taken a Nazarite vow. This meant he couldn't cut his hair, drink wine, or even eat grapes for a certain time. He chose to live in abstinence for five years.

“Where is he?” His friend Elijah asked when it was over.

“Out in the desert, fasting and seeking God.”

They packed a feast and set off to find him. Joseph was praying, hair long and unkempt.

“Have you found what you sought?”

“Indeed, I have.”

First they thanked God for guiding them. Then they gave him a haircut. Then, it was time to eat grapes.
