Pink

My favorite song is Pink’s “Fkin’ Perfect.” I first heard it when I was on a hold for being a danger to myself. I was in a bad place, with a lot of self-hate. It hit me just perfectly

I was in the day room staring at my own hands, trying not to think because the meds hadn’t quieted the negative thoughts. The TV was playing music videos. That song played. It helped me think of myself in a much more positive way. Her voice was so raw if felt like she’d been in my place. It saved my life.
