(1) Knowledge is power. Nolan didn’t know how to lose weight on his own, but with the help of his counterpart, he sees the error of his ways.

(2) 25 year old Nolan is having trouble losing body fat, despite being a kinesiology major. When his future counterpart arrives, he is able to learn what he is doing wrong, and overcomes the obstacles that are holding him back.

Nolan has been dodging exercise because he is a college student, but his counterpart convinces him to walk for an hour before breakfast and to go to bed earlier every night. He also learns to go to bed around the same time each night, to get his body accustomed to rising early, even on weekends.

When Nolan follows this advice, he loses about twenty pounds in three months. He is able to wake up at 5 a.m. without an alarm.

Nolan also begins putting powdered peanut butter and chia seeds in his oatmeal in the mornings, along with whey protein powder mixed with water.

While his fit counterpart studies to become a fitness trainer online, Nolan is able to learn tips from him on how best to get in shape. He also learns from observation the actions of his counterpart.

People in Nolan’s family are able to notice the results when he starts losing weight.
