I am getting a free ride up Hampton, New Hampshire beach.
"Why are you slowing down to wave at darkened houses?"
I quired.
"Some of my friends live their..."
"You can stick that up your butt!"
She replied.
"I meant no offence..."
I attempted to appease...
"You forget I am much more intelligent than you."
She replied.
"It is a beautiful day."
I smiled.
She smiled back.

Did I offend?

I don't understand what I am saying.
"If I only knew what I was thinking."
My grandfather would say.
