| Ready to Start My Spreadsheet It took me about ten hours during my twelve-hour shift at work early yesterday evening to early this morning. I was hoping that I would get this phase of my Calkin Cove scriptwriting project done about halfway through this shift, but it didn’t happen that way. I’m not all that surprised it took me a little longer than halfway through my shift. After all, I did have one hundred and forty-four sentences to write before I finished this phase. The one hundred and forty-four isn’t the only reason why I didn’t get started on my spreadsheet during my shift early yesterday evening to early this morning. Another reason why I didn’t get to the spreadsheet for this project is that I not only wrote these one hundred and forty-four sentences, but I also rearranged them in the proper order that they would appear on the spreadsheet and for this movie, especially the Act Breakdown. It may be a good thing I didn’t get to the spreadsheet today. While I was working on my synopsis storylines, I noticed something that may be a problem with the spreadsheet that I was planning on creating. I don’t think that I can do it the way that I want to do it because of my at least two scenes rule before I use the same character again. I will have to wait until I start creating my spreadsheet before I know if there is a conflict with this rule, but I think that there is. If that’s true, then I won’t be able to create the spreadsheet that I want to create. It’s not as big a problem as I’m making it sound like it is. With my old creation plans, I was going to start and end each Act with two characters. If I’m right about this rule having a conflict, I will be breaking it between Act Two and Act Three, then again for Act Six and Act Seven. It’s not a big problem because I can cut it down to one character that begins and ends each Act instead of two characters. The spreadsheet can still be almost the same as the old one that I planned on creating. It can still be one or two scenes separating the main characters from the secondary characters. At least I think that it will work out that way. I will find out tomorrow if it does. When I realized there may be a problem with my spreadsheet for this project, it may be another reason why I only got one hundred and forty-four sentences written today. After all, I was thinking about what I was going to do with this spreadsheet, and how I was going to fix it, if I could fix it. I think that I can fix it this way. |
