"Chander Pahar" is my favourite children's book. It is written by Bibhutibhushan Bandopadhyay, an eminent Bengali fiction and novel writer. I read that children's novel 28 times.lt was written over 100 years ago.


There was a teenage boy named Shankar. He had a passion for travelling. Incidentally, for working, he came to East Africa, a den of lions. Accidentally he met a traveller, Alvarez. With him, he entered a dense forest where they had to fight with dangers. There were a lot of lions and snacks. He saw a volcano with Alvarez. The colourful beauty of the volcano mesmerized him.After the sudden death of Alvarez, Shakar fought lonely with the adverse situations but never gave up his fight.At the time of returning, Shakar promised to come back again.Prompt ▼
