Old Songs I Remember

Are you kidding me?
I have quite a few that made my day. But when I read this prompt, the first song was "Tie a Yellow Ribbon Around the Old Oak Tree". Two lovers that were separated for a while. The man wrote a letter (if my memory has not gone ) saying he would come home to his sweetheart. When he arrived, the tree was covered with so many yellow ribbons that he must have jumped out of the car and ran into the arms of his one and only. Ah! True love forever!

The next was Kenny Roger's, "The Gambler." He is gone but this song will also live on.

The third was, "Itzy Bitzy Yellow Polka Dot Bikini" for summer time sun lovers. The refrain was so easy and cute.

Fourth was The Theme Song from MASH, "Suicide is Painless" It was used in one episode of the TV version.

Fifth: (Don't worry, I'll stop at ten) "Hey Jude" by the one and only Beatles.

Sixth: was "Suspicious Minds" by the crooner and hip shaker, Mr. Elvis Presley himself.

Seventh was "Pretty Woman"

Eighth: was "RESPECT" by Miss Aretha Franklin. I still sing it to myself today.

Ninth was "Sugar, Sugar"

Tenth: from the movie the Graduate, "Mrs. Robinson"

Now I had my musical songs like Classical Gas, Theme from the Bridge over the River Kwai, Love is Blue, and Exodus. I was a music minor in college so what can I say. I came along with a lot of classical music that I can listen to for hours. This was a fun prompt because it took me back to earlier days and let me sing or hum to my heart's content.
A comment from me about the music today is that it is sometimes too loud and really not interesting to me. I would like to know that the loud music can cause deafness and that the listeners will later regret that they had to have the music blaring as they drive their cars.
