It may be the weather, the lack of sleep, or both, but I have been feeling weak and tired all day today. It’s not the sleepy kind of tired, but the weakness kind of tired. Of course, it’s kind of both today. After all, I didn’t get too much sleep last night. That happens a lot on Wednesday morning. Almost every Wednesday, this happens.

I should have gotten almost six and a half hours of sleep last night, and I thought that I got about five and a half to six, but maybe it was closer to four hours. After all, I did a lot of tossing and turning before I went to sleep. That’s the only reason I can think of as to why I didn’t get more sleep than I thought I should have gotten.

The weather could also be the reason why I feel so weak and tired today. I’m probably coming down with another cold. At least I hope it’s a cold. I don’t think it’s the flu yet, but I could be that bad already. All I know is that it all started last week when I did four twelve-hour shifts instead of two twelve-hour shifts because of Thanksgiving.

Where I work was very cold last week. It has been cold for the last few weekends, but not as cold as it was last week when I did the four-day work week. Normally, the cold isn’t a problem where I work, but at this Post and Guard Shack, it is. There is only a small, old gray box heater that isn’t very good. It doesn’t even heat the whole Guard Shack.

I had to wear my heavy coat while I was in that Guard Shack. If that were the only way to stay warm in there, that wouldn’t be such a big problem. Of course, it would have been a problem, but not as big of one. After all, my feet and legs still remained somewhat cold, despite having shoes, socks and pants on them. It wasn’t freezing cold, but it was still cold.

This is just the beginning of Winter. I don’t know if I can survive the next few months out there, especially when it starts getting busy again. Luckily, because of the holiday, it wasn’t too busy out there, but it was a little bit busy, especially on Thursday and Friday. The weekend wasn’t too bad, but Thursday and Friday were.

What does all this mean for my writing? It means that I only had about an hour and a half to work on my WDC Short Story for this month. My brother and I got home a little bit later than normal this afternoon, but it did take us a little bit longer to get home from what we needed to get done today. I still should have been able to get more writing done today.

It’s because of the way I was feeling that I didn’t get more written today than the ten-sentence Sections/Parts written today for this WDC Short Story. I spent most of the afternoon dozing. That’s another reason why I think that I only got about three or four hours of sleep last night. After all, I usually feel tired when I’m weak and tired, but it’s not this bad.

Luckily, I set my alarm for seven PM WDC time so that I would have at least about an hour and a half to work on this WDC Short Story. I knew that I probably wouldn’t have gotten any of this Short Story physically written today, but I was hoping I would get the setup finished today. Unfortunately, I barely got the setup finished today for this WDC Short Story.
