My son graduated from college with his Bachelor's in game design. He didn't move back home, but to his Grandmother's house, which she does not live in and hasn't for years. Of course, the house needs a lot of work and I have been working on it for a few weeks now. Not too hard, mind you, just after work...I was trying for several days to get the plumbing in for the washing machine and kept getting distracted with other things that needed doing like the shower was leaking from the metal pipe and I had to stop and take care of that. Then, two nights ago, the toillet started leaking and we had to get a new toilet, and I installed that a couple of days ago. Last night, I spent some time in the crawl space putting together the drainpipe and I finally finished! I used CPVC pipe glue so it took longer for it to cement, but I hope there will be no leaks. So much to do!

I have been spending lots of money for my son, it is overwhelming. It is for a good cause as my wife reminds me. I am not bitter. I am glad I can be useful to him. That is the takeaway today, help others as you can without it being about me. It doesn't always work, but hey, we can have goals!
