That old War!!! By Lisa Noe ![]() They came, they gave They heard the call Now their names are Written on the wall They were the forgotten They were treated just rotten Our nation should feel shame Because on them they placed blame When there was little they could do They lost much more than just a few Many were lost to friendly fire Others were taken as the smoke rose higher This was not a war declared Their crisis is definitely shared The war was civil from north and south Why were Americans there? I lost my daddy due to that war He loved this country that he swore. I miss my daddy he paid a high price So I could live free and live a life nice. |
