Napowrimo # 24 April, 19, 2016 255 words 40 lines Dogwood By Lisa Noe ![]() Lovely Dogwoods, sprouting in the spring. Tulips budding in large groups, and daffodils too. This is earth, a gift from God. God has given to us a painting from his hand, He created all things, and made this planet thrive. In the evening a beautiful blanket of stars cover sky. Like the shamrocks in the fields of Ireland . His brush touched everything. From this wondrous land he pulled a man. And from that man created us. Like an artist creating a masterpiece. He’s worked wonders large and small. This world has been painted into the universe. The dogwood tree symbols the death of a man, He was a good man, who saved many people. The dogwood has the symbol of the cross. The flower is a cross and on the tip of each petal You’ll find the nails and blood. It was a heart wrenching time for the Christ. This was something that was meant to be. He was just a red blooded man, Roaming across the desert sand. He worked miracles with power from his dad. The whole earth shook and darkness fell. When I see a dogwood I look upon it’s flower I can see my Jesus nailed to a tree, But then I see the angels setting him free. He is with his father in Heaven up above On this earth he shared his love. God gave to this world everything there is Love one another in the purest way That is all that Jesus would say. |
