Anti-Rapture

When the rapture comes
I will speak in fairy tongues
and lie among the roses and cosmos.
I will remain to feel earth's weight
and gravity in my bones.
I will have no shame to stay
with the shells, sea, and stones
untwining a skein of love, of pain,
that binds me here,
singing a last refrain.
Creation and destruction.
