Wonderland

Oh what a toy store I would procure!
It would not be quiet or demure.
A place of fantasy and a delight to all
A place where the imagination is not a downfall.
My store would house the most divine
Every child's paradise, such a goldmine!
A place to read any book
And see the likes of Captain Hook!
Come to life to swagger about
You'd laugh and clap and certainly shout.
Or sit awhile and nap within
The Secret Garden's pages herein
No doubt ‎Frances Hodgson Burnett
would think it a great asset
To lull you by her tale
Oh what fun, it never gets stale!
The alphabet dances and climbs the palm tree
The numbers 1 through 10 agree
That dancing is just such fun
And joins the parade that won't be outdone.
The rhinoceros has found the silly string
And wound it 'round his horn to sing
A rousing version of God Save the Queen
It truly is a sight to be seen.
Purple pandas join the dressed up dolls
As they too dance among the balls
Underneath the starry sky above
Where adults and children all find love.
This store a place of wonderment
Not ruled by any government
Where imagination learns to fly
Beyond the limits of the sky.
This priceless place that is all my own
A place I have built up and it has grown
A place I call Wonderland
Where everyone is free to be grand.
