THE CRUMMY BAR
CHAPTER SIX

THE CRUMMY BAR

His footsteps echoed upon the dirty floor littered with the crumbs of peanut shells. The Well Dressed Man looked up the neon lights while they flickered behind the bar. He pulled up a stool and settled his chair slightly leaning into the counter top. He took off his glasses and looked at the man behind the bar.

“Early for a drink stranger?" said the barkeep as he walked over and put away the glass he was polishing.

“It has been a long night my friend, I’ll take a bottle of crown and a glass with some ice..." replied the man in a gentleman's voice.

"So the usual then, HA HA HA , its been a long time since i have been seen you in here so early, Jody."The bartender laughed

The barkeep served a bottle and left it there and Jody paid his tab in clean crisp one hundred dollar bills.

"I can always count on you George!" Jody said with a smile while he took off his sunglasses and poured a drink into the cup.

“AHHHH you want something to eat, I have food!" said the host while Jody nodded and then barkeep disappeared into the back of his establishment.

Later in the day after a little rest and catching up over some old times Jody sat, patiently; He knew his task would soon be upon him. He stayed put, doing shot after shot to no effect. The bartender watched on at this amazing feat.

"Holy shit you still got it woo hooooo!!" cried the barkeep as he slammed his hand down upon his desk.
Jody was beginning to feel like he was being watched, as a matter of fact he knew since he had arrived that something was foul.

"I'm going to need a favour from you my old friend" Jody explained as he rose from the couch that was in the barkeeps office and closed the door.

The brakes gave a soft squeak as the undercover cop car turned its wheels into a spot down about a block from the crummy bar. Bob spotted the black camaro and decided to sit with a watchful eye for a while.

Tiff stood by the building, she had been staking out the bar all afternoon and was now actively peeking in and out its windows here and there to see if she could catch some more information. Now that people were in there for dinner and drinks it was easier to get in closer to take a look.

"Her wavy locks flowing and her hot little ass" Bob fantasized as he sat there scanning his surroundings.

He could not get her off his mind lately. To him, she was beautiful and secretly he loved her. She walked past the window of the bar, turning, she snuck another glance. Jody sat by himself at the bar drinking whiskey. Tiff took in every detail as she scanned his features and his image burned into her mind.

It was almost as if she could taste him upon her lips, feeling drawn to him as she stood there captivated. It was the first time she had truly laid eyes on him, her mind raced with the thoughts of revenge and what she wished to do with him when he was caught. She snapped back to reality when the sounds of a small honk from a car down the way.

Bobs hand shot out the window waving and she proceeded down the street to meet her partner. Tiff opened the door to the vehicle and jumped into the passenger side.

"Here is your coffee as ordered madame." Said Bob as he laughed, Tiff smiled and then slapped him on the arm, and they spoke about what to do next.

Minutes seemed like hours as the time passed and they both grew increasingly impatient as they argued points of view on how to proceed.

"Did you get a look at his car?" Bob asked

"Yes but it has an alarm on it, I couldn't risk it, he has been in that place all day, ever since this morning what the fuck?" Tiff sighed

"Well then I think its time to finalize our plan." Bob replied as he looked towards the door of the bar and pointed.
