WELCOME TO: GEMINI RISING ![]() UPDATED INTRO 30 JUNE 2025: Just a little about me. I've been married for 33 years this past NOV and currently live in Southern California, but I grew up in New Hampshire. I've got 2 boys who are young adults. I work as a 911 dispatcher for LAPD. I enjoy my job a lot. Still. If you can believe that. I love to write. Thankfully both of my boys achieved Eagle Scout. My Scouting days are over and I'm back to focusing on my writing. I like to get out in nature, drink coffee and watch football. Here's a little bio about my zodiac. GEMINI: Gemini, the sign of the Twins, is dual-natured, elusive, complex and contradictory. On the one hand it produces the virtue of versatility, and on the other the vices of two-facedness and flightiness. The sign is linked with Mercury, the planet of childhood and youth, and its subjects tend to have the graces and faults of the young. When they are good, they are very attractive; when they are bad they are more the worse for being the charmers they are. Like children they are lively, and happy, if circumstances are right for them, or egocentric, imaginative and restless. Their good qualities are attractive and come easily to them. They are affectionate, courteous, kind, generous, and thoughtful towards the poor and suffering - provided none of the activities resulting from expressing these traits interferes too greatly with their own lives and comforts. Geminians can be successful in many walks of life though their general characteristics tend to make them unreliable. They are often skilled manipulators of language, in speech and writing, and may be: debaters, diplomats (though in politics they are more interested in theory than practice), orators, preachers (brilliant rather than profound), teachers, authors, poets, journalists, or lawyers. Yesterday, I went to the USC game. I love attending the games. I believe my first USC game (at least if I go by my pictures was 20 OCT 2012. The whole family went and the boys were so young. Our seats were kinda up in the stadium, but decent. I did a check and re-learned that USC played Colorado that day. The score was 50 to 6 - USC. Matt Barkley was the quarterback that day. Andrew and I, USC, Oct 2012 Over the years, I've seen some great USC quarterbacks play and while some went on to the NFL (I couldn't necessarily say they were great NFL quarterbacks) USC has produced some great players over the years. Matt Barkley, Matt Leinart, Cody Kessler, Sam Darnold, Caleb Williams, Tony Boselli, JuJu Smith Schuster, Amon-Ra St. Brown, Clay Matthews, and I could go. There are/were a lot. So, I've been going to USC football games for about 13 years now. The seats have gotten better throughout the years. I usually get the mini-plan because when I buy tickets, I want to go to the game. I've been season ticket holder twice. This year being the 2nd time. I like the seats I have, too. I'd like to keep them for next year, but I need to save up money. USC Football, Sept 2019 At first, the whole family went. Nowadays, the hubby and son #2 don't care to go, but son #1 will go with me if he's around. And thankfully, I've been able to find a friend or two to go when no one else will go with me. Andrew and I from last year, Oct 2024 Yesterday, we got to the game right when it started. I hate being late, but the trains were behind schedule because of a fire near one of the lines. So Lorena and I drove to Union Station and parked there. We caught the train from there so it wasn't that bad. The lines were long - I believe the game was sold out. USC was playing Michigan. Michigan was a good team, but they really struggled and USC beat them, 31 to 13. I love all the traditions - Tommy Trojan riding Traveler after a football score, lighting the torch for the 4th quarter and all the fans are well mannered. I may never be able to afford an NFL game, but I'm happy with USC Trojans. Fight on! |
