WELCOME TO: GEMINI RISING ![]() UPDATED INTRO 30 JUNE 2025: Just a little about me. I've been married for 33 years this past NOV and currently live in Southern California, but I grew up in New Hampshire. I've got 2 boys who are young adults. I work as a 911 dispatcher for LAPD. I enjoy my job a lot. Still. If you can believe that. I love to write. Thankfully both of my boys achieved Eagle Scout. My Scouting days are over and I'm back to focusing on my writing. I like to get out in nature, drink coffee and watch football. Here's a little bio about my zodiac. GEMINI: Gemini, the sign of the Twins, is dual-natured, elusive, complex and contradictory. On the one hand it produces the virtue of versatility, and on the other the vices of two-facedness and flightiness. The sign is linked with Mercury, the planet of childhood and youth, and its subjects tend to have the graces and faults of the young. When they are good, they are very attractive; when they are bad they are more the worse for being the charmers they are. Like children they are lively, and happy, if circumstances are right for them, or egocentric, imaginative and restless. Their good qualities are attractive and come easily to them. They are affectionate, courteous, kind, generous, and thoughtful towards the poor and suffering - provided none of the activities resulting from expressing these traits interferes too greatly with their own lives and comforts. Geminians can be successful in many walks of life though their general characteristics tend to make them unreliable. They are often skilled manipulators of language, in speech and writing, and may be: debaters, diplomats (though in politics they are more interested in theory than practice), orators, preachers (brilliant rather than profound), teachers, authors, poets, journalists, or lawyers. | It was an early start to the day. A Warped Witch I Be We pulled up to Boneyard Beach at 4:40 and started setting up camp. Sunrise was due for 5:13 which meant Civil dawn was going to start in 5 mins! Talk about NO time to spare! Šuŋgmánitu Tȟáŋka Spooky Kooky Krista A hint of dark shadows crested the horizon. The hustle was on. AmyJo-Zombie hours The shadows got brighter as they played over the dead trees. Mind you the trees on Boneyard Beach are pretty - all white with their roots showing. They’re laying down on their sides, and they’d make a good black and white Ansel Adams picture. The coffee started to boil. We went through the coffee line and poured us a cup. WakeUpAndLive~NOV Word Monger Slowly, the world got brighter and brighter as we sipped our drinks and enjoyed the sugar rush of our donuts. The waves gently lapped at our feet. The hint of sea salt was in the air. A bright orange ball crested over the water, splaying deep red and orange rays of light over the waves. We oo’d and aww’d. Then Spooky Kooky Krista Overall, it was a really cool way to start the morning, but it was too darned early. We all agreed not to do that again any time soon. South Carolina has a rich history. It was one of the original 13 colonies and was known for rice and indigo. After our picture perfect sunrise, we headed off to Patriots Point and Naval Museum, where the USS Yorktown is moored. It was an aircraft carrier that saw action in the Pacific during World War II. Old military history like this really interests me so I had a blast checking out the Yorktown. What fascinates me the most about Aircraft carriers is how they catapult aircraft off the deck and how they land them. “Call the Ball!” when the pilot is ready to land. Taken in Nov 2023, here is Andy, giving the signal to launch an airplane from an Aircraft Carrier. What an exciting day in South Carolina! |
