So your leaves are still enjoying the autumn colors. Our leaves have taken a beaten with the heavy winds. The lights flickered a couple times last night. Thankfully the power got back up and kept the heat going. Although, the internet went down for awhile while it rebooted back from the the short interruption in power.
We had quite a bunch of trick or treaters last night. It was cold rainy and very windy. But the kids were happy to be out and about the neighborhood. I love watching those creative costumes on Halloween. The little ones are adorable.
The moon was beautiful. There's something about a November moon with a frosty scent lingering in the air. I guess there will be snow in the not too distant future.
Thankfully the kids will be here passing out candy with me. It gets quite busy in our town.
I have lots of candy. Hersheys Chocolate bars, REESE'S , and non chocolate/non peanut butter ones for those who are allergic. The town set a 5-7 p.m. trick or treat time. But, there's always delays and strays. By 8:00 we shut the lights. Those are usually the repeat visitors and much older "kids."
Lots of leaves are down from the rains here. The wind is up and it is ready to be spooky. Lights out here, though. I Hope Rascal doesn't get too anxious.
Christmas. Santa Claus. I love Christmas. I hated giving up Santa. He was the best part of Christmas as a kid. We do love the decorations. Jesus's Birthday. Christmas is something we look forward to. I am thankful for Christmas. I went to Santa Claus Land, Indiana and it is all about Santa. It seemed so real. I love the fantasy of Santa, reindeer, elves and gifts. The North Pole. Santa is great. I never forget Jesus is the reason for the season. Santa is a fun bonus. Christmas will always live in my heart.
