She sat down at her old wooden desk, pen at the ready. Her thoughts raced. What shall I write today? Tilting her head to the side, a small smile tugged at the corner of her mouth before enveloping her delicate face. The purple ink began to fill the once blank sheet, each stroke a labor of pure joy as the words flowed from her mind, her heart, her very soul.
My Dreams...
to write of romance and endless love
to love without boundaries
to learn from past mistakes
to laugh with all my heart
to be the woman I am meant to be
I have some idea how much trouble it for you to do things with your right hand, although the amount of pain you may be enduring is beyond my experience. When I was in junior high, I broke my right arm and spent a couple of months with my arm wrapped to my torso with ACE bandages. It didn't hurt, but it was totally inconvenient.
Having to write left-handed is bad enough for a righty, but I was also taking Wood Shop and was nearly finished with an apple-shaped cutting board for my mom. I was using a vise to hold it still while I sanded it, and it slipped and fell, snapping off the apple's stem. I tried to catch it, of course, but my right hand was under my shirt and my left was holding the sanding block, so...
If your finger is giving you pain, even when you're not doing anything to aggravate it, I hope it remains bearable.
My daughter-in-law injured her left hand middle finger and it turned out to be a severed ligament. She too wore a splint for months. She joked that she could give that middle finger salute to everyone and anyone. Her finger stayed curled for a long time, but it has healed now. Accidents are inconvenient and yes, painful. Hand injuries are especially grievous and vexating. Happy to hear your leg spontaneously righted itself. Sending healing vibes your way.
I'm glad your second injury healed itself. The human body is indeed a wonderful thing.
I hope you heal quickly and fully from your ring finger injury. I wonder if you caught your ring on something. I did just that many years ago. Didn't tear a ligament, but did some other damage.
Induction night is here!! We can't wait to meet Miss Nai.
Tonight we are having a "slumber party" with Kaia. That kid cracks me up. We set up my office with her own blow up mattress. She has toys here, but had to bring more, including slime. I hate slime, it's so gross.
The funniest thing is that Kaia hates touching food, but will actively play with slime, while saying, "Teta, oooh gross." And then laughs. She's so related to me.
I'm being summoned. We have a big day planned tomorrow. Shopping, going to the hospital, playing outside. This should be interesting.
