That's awesome that your son is one of the good ones that make a teacher's day. My wife is an educator and I can tell you from experience that those kids make it all worth it.
My closest Cracker Barrel is the better part of an hour away, courtesy of distance and traffic, so I don't visit often. I do enjoy their biscuits and gravy, though.
I drove into work this morning and went through a small town where there was a dead dog by the side of the road. I imagined the owner had a horrible day today and I was saddened by that.
