Wonderful poem that links footprints to bits and pieces of our memories over the years.
As we get older, we do leave a mark behind - footprints if you will - and even as they fade away, they'll always linger and be a reminder of what we once were.

he stands immovable
a silent and still figure
dividing the flow of the crowd
that parts around him
unnoticed by those eyes
that see only another world
and a new direction.
