Where all you have to do is read books to receive awesome prizes.

Welcome to Rach's Reading Club.

We all like to read, right? Of course we do. We are writers. The two go hand in hand. So I have created a book club where you can win awesome prizes for doing the thing we love the most.

How it works ...

Each month will have a theme for the books. This will either be a genre or a theme. You can choose your own books to read, providing they are in the right genre or theme. Once you have read your book(s), I would like you to write a review and link it in the forum below. The reviews can be product reviews — bpr: xxxxx, stand alone items — bitem: xxxxx, or book entries — entry: xxxxx. Alternatively, you may write a review directly into the forum. Please note the new rule: All reviews must be a minimum of 250 characters. You must state a rough plot guide and why you did/did not like the book.

Prizes

Now for the fun part ...

This activity will run from 1st January 2026 to Black Friday November 2026.

Monthly prizes awarded as you read ...

For every book you read and review, you will receive 2 Kgps.

For reading and reviewing two books in one month's genre, you will receive a community MB that is linked to the monthly book theme — this will count for every month you read the required number of books.

For every month you read one extra book, you will get a 10K Awardicon.

As there is a new requirement for reviews, I will be awarding a spot prize each month for my favourite review. This prize will be something like raffle tickets, a gift certificate to a WDC shop, a review of an item of your choosing, an image from a shop. There are no set rules for the best review. It will be purely down to my choice

This prize will be awarded at the end of the activity, on Black Friday 2026. (By doing this, I can give a higher value award ...)

Lastly ...

Everyone who participates in this activity (no matter how few or how many books they read) will receive my brand new exclusive Rach's Reading Club 5 MB (once it is commissioned).

You can purchase this new MB by making a donation in this forum of 200K or more.

To sign up for this activity, post a note in the forum, and I will add you to the list of participants.

January Theme: Books by your favourite authors (must be all different authors)

February Theme: Books with purple in their covers / in their title

March Theme: Books that someone read in 2025’s Reading Challenge - I’ve listed the books below

May Theme: Books that either make you cry or make you laugh (or both, that's okay too)

June Theme: Books about books (libraries, bookstores, magical books, book quests, etc.) - open to your interpretation

August Theme: Books with a villain as the main character

September Theme: Books that feature weather in their title / plot

October Theme: Books that were published the year you were born

Donations
As with all contests and activities, any donations will be gratefully accepted and put to very good use.

Please send your donations to "Rach’s Reading Club"

. Alternatively, you can post it in this forum. All donations of 30K or more will receive a community MB. Donations of 100K plus will receive the exclusive Rach's Reading Club or Reading Club II MB. Rach's Reading Club III will be awarded for donations of 150K or higher.
