I think it'll really be a matter of contrasting her previous behavior against her current behavior and how she responds to the renewed isolation. Sometimes, that's all it takes to "show" something.

(BTW, I am not a big fan of the "show, don't tell" rule. I think it is often misunderstood and misinterpreted -- have we discussed "show, don't tell" yet?)
