I agree with you Liam. I started my novel "Stalking Tessa" with a well written outline that went into the toilet before the end of Chapter 1.
I'm working with a "basic story description" and some of the things I want to be sure get in the book. My creativity and imagination seem to drive what I write as I emmerse myself in the story.
Of course, my re-writes will be monsterous due to things I learn on Writer.com and from kind readers who critique me. I have a feeling that, for me, my stories will EVOLVE rather than hold a preconcieved "track".
Time, experience and learning may change my approach but for now I can see better with my eyes closed!
