It is very rewarding to bring something so intricate to life. Though the temptation to put all your hard work into the finished product is hard to overcome. Leaving a detail of worldbuilding out because it isn't relevant to the story is so darn hard. Which is why I have almost no explanation for anything this year. It's a bit magic realism, but not quite because I do delve into how the magi-science works.
