ScifiWizard, Prosperous Snow Neva, and Jay O'Toole: Thank you. I just discovered this site, because I had not seen much of my early supporter of my poetry, ScifiWizard, I explored his Port & saw this great place for sharing/observing/honoring our grief. I learned much from all of you, and I just picked Jay's words as one illustration. It has wisdom, and strength, and vulnerability almost in equal measure ... and I felt an orphan for many years after my parents died 8 months apart the same year 2005. I do not have much to add, except so say I know something about all the losses that seem to erupt when a parent departs: "I was quite stoic in my youth and I became depressed as a result. Now, I am working through "STUFF" and I don't know the WHY of the tears. I have been told I don't really need to know the WHY. I simply need to experience the tears." shalom, shalom! Blessings of Father/Mother Spirit if Jesus Christ is not as meaningful to you as for me. Amen Neil SOOKDEO |
