It's not absurd, at least. Billings isn't a huge city, but it's the largest in Montana. It's closer to the Crow nation than to the Northern Cheyenne land, which is much farther to the east.

That much you can figure out with a quick trip to Wikipedia and Google Maps. Might want to check those sites to get more background.
