I'm sorry I didn't see this post before this morning. I was going to suggest the same thing the QP did. Actions can show our love sometimes more than the words can. Just like when people say 'I love you" and their actions prove the opposite.
I'm glad to hear that you have a good man in your life and that he is understanding and patient. It's good that you have open communication together. Just keep showing him that you do love him and eventually you will feel safe enough to tell him.
