Prussia is interesting. Scary, but interesting, and I'll admit that Prussia/Germany and Bismarck/Wilhelm II is at the center of my interest in Europe, 1848-1914. Wilhelm in particular I find a fascinating character, because once you peel away the bluster and the dress uniforms, he becomes remarkably enigmatic. I am 75% persuaded of AJP Taylor's judgement that, once you factor the playacting away, Wilhelm was smarter than any of his ministers and much more pacific.

You have seen the Prussian chicken video, right?
