October Novel Prep Challenge

The personal condition is their ordinary world - how are they functioning within their ordinary world before they get the call for adventure. This lets the read see who they are and what is happening in that story world before they decide to do something about it. It introduces the characters and gives a sense of where they are at that point in the story.

Think of Dorothy in the Wizard of OZ - we meet her and all those she knows in Kansas before she is wisked awary to OZ. We learn about what she wants and what she is missing.
