Way back when (in the eighties I'm guessing) there was a farm just outside Coventry that decided to make its own ice cream and sell it in the farm shop. After we'd discovered it, we used to make regular visits to pick up another tub or two of the various flavours they did. The ice cream was made the old way, with real cream from cows on the farm and flavourings that consisted of the ground up real thing. The pistachio flavour was ice cream with real pistachio in it, for instance. And the pistachio was also the best flavour amongst a horde of wonderfully flavoured ice creams. So that would be my pick but it would have to be from that farm.
And that would be kinda difficult because they had to close down the ice cream project as there just wasn't enough business to support it. I'm sorry - I didn't warn you that this would be a sad tale, did I?
