I don’t!

If they’ve been there long enough for me to want them to leave I simply say, “It’s time to go home.” Then I start gathering coats, sweaters, hats, whatever they brought.

I have been known to simply get up and go to bed myself and let them figure out leaving. That was with very good friends that I trusted to not steal and lock up on their way out.

Some might consider it rude, but I consider it rude to stay past a reasonable time. Yeah, I decide reasonable, it’s my house.
