I totally sucked at English in school – writing it was most tricky. I had a 4 / D in my English Abitur (German High School Diploma) because I lost it when I wanted to "save" my overall grade by doing the oral exam.
I only really learned English by watching movies & TV / reading books in their original version, the literature at Uni (80% English), and through WDC.
German was my best subject but arch-boring. It's my native language after all.
