Once in Lowe's, I had a "Karen" moment; however, I believe I was justified in my indignation. (Do all Karens think that? I wonder.) Online, I found a refrigerator I wanted to buy from Lowe's, but the photo wasn't perfectly clear. I went to the store to see it in person. They didn't have a display model on the floor, so I asked if they would bring one out from the back of the store or allow me to go into the catacombs to check it out. First, they agreed to bring one out and put it in the display area, so I waited around. Then, a manager came and told me they couldn't do that; he said I would have to buy it to see it. At first, I was polite and explained that I would never buy a large item like that without actually seeing it. He said, "Well, sorry. That's the deal." My ire flared up, so I loudly said, "You mean I can't actually SEE the item I want to buy!?" He just laughed which made me all the more angry. People were noticing my irritation, so I left after vowing never to set foot in Lowe's again. Of course, I've been back there many times, but NOT for a refrigerator!
