I was in the actual street in Staten Island where my novel series MMC Vince Romano lives. HIs house there looks different from the actual house there (on purpose, of course), but the view he sees from from his bedroom (and even kitchen as it turns out!) is exactly the same I describe in the novels. I even walked the way he'd take to the SI Ferry to Manhattan!
It's freaking crazy to do google research and write something , and then go to the actual place and realize "*Peep*! That's IT!"
You have such revelations yourselves? Or is it just me?
