The difference between a space western and a science fiction western is that a science fiction western takes place in the west (generally speaking) and on earth, while a space western is not on earth and uses elements of the western frontier in the setting of somewhere out there *points vaguely out into the atmosphere and beyond*

Mine has a bunch of aliens, and some characters who are just trying to get by on the edges of civilizations.
