I'd rather stare at a wall than play Monopoly, and it should be a crime for how obscenely bad I am at chess.
Other than that, I'm usually perfectly happy to play board games/tabletop games/card games (CAH-type and traditional card decks).
I love Racko because it's fast and you can sneak a game in between doing other things.
Candy Land (the Calvinball rules) was always a blast. I'd let the kids make up whatever rules they wanted. I always got eaten by a monster . But my rule was it couldn't be the same monster as last time, and it couldn't be a traditional monster. They had to invent one. It's no wonder the one child is a big D&D fan now.
Scrabble is probably my favourite true board game. I lose a lot and it doesn't bother me. That's how I know I like it .
