1. Trying to write later in the day. It's mornings or nothing, and mornings are one of the busiest times and it gets in the way. By the time the afternoon rolls around, I'm too tired. And nighttime, forget it. Half the time I can barely read and remember the previous paragraph.
2. Hidden muse. I spent 4 years writing about (poetry) as a form of therapy, and I sort of feel I tapped that out. Now that's it's more or less a purely creative endeavour, I struggle. Beholden has provided me an interesting concept to try to get the ball rolling again.
3. Sucking at it. Call it imposter syndrome or whatever. I generally hate my own work, so that leads to procrastination.
