It's been a while since I had one but my mom used to make these things called thumb print cookies. You follow the standard chocolate chip cookie but then...BAM!!! Hershey's kiss stamped on top right when they come out of the oven.

I hear some people use jam and sugar cookies for thumb print. Maybe they're good but people eating those don't know the glory of a giant blob of chocolate right in the center of a warm cookie.
