I choose one of the Narnian series by CS Lewis - The Silver Chair. Why? Because I could go straight away to the marshes where the marshwiggles live, say bye to Eustace Scrubb, Jill Pole, and Puddleglum the marshwiggle as they set off for the north and adventure, then settle down into Puddleglum's little teepee, spending my days quietly fishing and unbothered by the world outside. Nobody wants to cause trouble in a marsh.
